Adidas Unveils its Metalbone 2023 Range
Much to our delight, Adidas has blessed us with the unveiling of the 2023 range of rackets. The new designs are seriously cool, with new technologies that will enhance anyones game.
I think I will have to bag one for myself...
Once again, Ale Galan will be using the Adidas Metalbone but this time it has had some changes from previous collections.
Metalbone HRD 3.2: Ale Galán's ultimate weapon
So let's begin this overview with the padel racket that has been chosen by the world Number 1, Ale Galan. He will be sporting the Metalbone 3.2 HRD for the 2023 season.
Now this racket has some cool new features such as:
Spin Blade System
This feature gives the padel racket a rough coating on the face, when players make use of this, we're sure that it will have a devistating effect on the rivals., putting them in a very difficult position.
Weight and balance system
Back once again for a third year running, we see the appearance of the 6 changeable weights located on the neck of the racket. You can play around with the distribution of the weights, which total to 12 Grams in order to alternate between an attack and defensive set up.
EVA High Memory
With regards to the foam, we can see that Adidas have opted in for the EVA high memory foam which gives this racket an excellent combination of power and comfort.
Metalbone 3.2
The standard Metalbone also comes with customisable weights thanks to the Weight & Balance System technology. The Metalbone 3.2 offers players the possibility of modifying their weight and alternating between an attack racket or more control.
For the eagle eyed readers, you will have notices that the face is finished in Aluminised Carbon and the Eva Soft Performance Rubber offers a unique combination of power and comfort. Octagonal Structure framing increases the structural rigidity of the padel racket, so that the contact is more powerful.
It's a real gem in this area because this racket is very complete and adaptable to any type of game.
Metalbone CTR 3.2
For players looking to control the game and master the pace of the game, the Metalbone CTR 3.2 will be the best ally.
Equipped with the same technologies as the HDR 3.2, this padel racket offers a whole range of new features such as Spin Blade Tech and the Octagonal structure. The major point, which varies with the racket we saw earlier, is of course its foam and its rounder shape. The CTR 3.2 is made from EVA Soft Performance Rubber, which will allow players to have better control over each shot.
Metalbone Carbon
There is actually a surprising lack of information on this model from Adidas. However, from what we found it brings together all that Adidas does best.
This racket has been chosen by players on the uprise, storming their way through the ranks leaving a large wake behind them. These players are non-other than Pol Hernandez (121st in the WPT) and Pablo Cardona (96th in the WPT).
It aims to combine the perfect balance between power and control, thanks to two key characteristics. First of all its 6K carbon surface and then its Eva Soft Performance foam which gives it incredible comfort. Technologies "octagonal structure" and "Smart Holes Curve” add a so-called extra dimension and rigidity to this pala.
However, after reading this and looking at pictures in more detail, I have some belief that this is a rebranded CTRL 3.2. If this offended Adidas, I do apologise.
Metalbone Team
Le padel is a team sport and for Adidas it was fundamental to emphasize this notion when creating this model.
Indeed, the German brand has decided to highlight in this pala the three main criteria of customer demand: power, control and comfort of play. This is how this racket was born. Designed and manufactured on the basis of the same technologies as the previous ones, the Metalbone Team is distinguished by a fiberglass coating which offers greater power and ball output as well as a rough surface for diabolical effects.
A lighter version also exists: the Metalbone W Team.
Despite its lower weight, this racquet has the same features as its big brother. It is ideal for players looking for more maneuverability and control in the 20×10.
Metalbone Youth
Looking to the future: this is what Adidas has been doing for many years. Once again, the legendary sports brand has decided to bet on the future by creating a racket intended for the future champions.
With the boom experienced by the sport in recent years, more and more schools of padel see the light of day and note that this phenomenon affects an ever younger public. In Spain, the little yellow ball is a real institution and players like Alejandro Galan or Alex Ruiz have been trained in padel since their early childhood. It is for this reason that Adidas has decided not to forget our padelbudding eros by offering them this racket which will accompany them in this adventure. It features a fiberglass surface, Eva Soft Performance foam and weighing between 330 and 345 grams, this model is ideal for young players who want to show off their offensive game on the court.
