Padel All Stars? Nasser Al-Khelaifi organises a World Cup for Padel legends in Qatar
Nasser Al-Khelaifi, President of the professional circuit Premier Padel and PSG, has set up a Sports Legends Cup in Qatar, taking advantage in particular of the World Cup which is currently taking place.
The legends of sport have come to tread the tracks of padel and provide a very important media window to our sport.
From legends to padel
Brazilian world champions Kaka and Ronaldo are teaming up, while 2010 Spanish world champion Andres Iniesta has signed up with former England star Joe Cole.
Andy Murray, David Beckham, Lionel Messi and Jurgen Klopp are also followers of the padel.
For the president of Paris Saint-Germain, Nasser Al-Khelaifi: “Le padel is the fastest growing racket sport in the world and it is becoming increasingly popular among retired footballers."
That's why he responded to this request by organizing a daily tournament and recruiting a whole series of former winners of the Football World Cup and the Champions League.
Former PSG defender Maxwell, Olivier Dacourt, ex-Tottenham star Robbie Keane, Carles Puyol, Gabriel Batistuta and Italian icon Alessandro Del Piero are also taking part in the tournament.
Here is a non-exhaustive list of those athletes who came to play:

Put down the microphones to play padel
And as these FIFA pundits and ambassadors have time to kill in Qatar, as the tournament has entered its knockout stage and the number of matches per day is reduced, the goal now is to become number one on the ground of padel.
Tennis stars are also present!
The multi-sport relations of the President of PSG also enabled him to recruit the 2nd world tennis player Ons Jabeur, the former British tennis player James Ward and a Brazilian who needs no introduction: Gustavo Kuerten.
Al-Khelaifi wisely chose to team up with Jabeur, the only non-retired player among all these athletes.
If they weren't busy preparing for the round of XNUMX of the competition, there is no doubt that Lionel Messi and Neymar, two fans of padel notorious, would have liked to be part of this tournament of legends.
